2017 Erato Cabernet Franc
17 Erato Cabernet Franc is Gershon Bachus' flagship varietal grown at the De Portola Wine Trail Estate. This wine is consistent year over year, bold and beautiful. The soil in the vineyard at the estate where the fruit is grown is rich with nutirients. It is harvested in September when the brix hit 24. The whole berries are fermented in concrete for 10 days, pressed into juice then returned to the concrete casks for another 30 days. This gives the wine its texture and complexity. This is a members only wine as it is limited quantity.
